Two and a half hours into a cross-country road trip our car started having mechanical problems near Jackson, TN. We asked around town and were told that Old Hickory Car Care was the most reputable garage in town. They were already open and ready for business by the time we arrived at 7:30 the next morning. We were greeted warmly and professionally. They took the car in right away, diagnosed the problem, talked to us about our options (discouraging us from a more expensive repair on a high mileage vehicle) and had the car fixed and back to us within 90 minutes. They had the part we needed in stock! Price was the exact same that we paid for a similar repair elsewhere. This business gets bonus points from me for hospitality, clean waiting room and restrooms, pleasant outside benches, and free ice cold soft drinks.
